This trip packs a huge amount of Alaskan scenery, wildlife, and outdoor activities into a relatively short amount of time and distance to travel. Also, our guides Olivia and Jessi were fabulous and a real highlight of the trip - energetic, attentive, encouraging, and considerate of individual needs. We were also happy to find that there were only 3 other travelers in our group. It allowed us to move through things more efficiently, for sure. It does rain frequently, albeit usually lightly, in the Kenai area though, so we were glad to be prepared with the proper gear (we followed the recommended packing list). The hotels were fine, though not super. The breakfast at Hotel 360 seemed to have been 100% supplied by Costco (didn't even have decent fresh fruit) but the breakfast at the Lakeside in Anchorage was great. Also, at the Lakeside, the maintenance guy was unable to get our TV working after a couple of visits to our room, so he gave us the phone number for the TV service company and suggested that we try to reach them ourselves to resolve the issue! We had to laugh. Meantime, the restaurants selected by our guides were great - wonderful food. Finally, my husband would have appreciated a bit more challenge on each hike and bike, and both of us wished the kayaking was 2 hours instead of 1 hour.

My family, consisting of two high school aged kids, husband and me, went on the week-long Austin Adventures Yellowstone and Big Sky family trip in June. First and foremost, please go in June if you can! It was absolutely beautiful. A bit rainy at times, but there are so many babies amongst the wildlife and it is truly incredible to witness. We had THE BEST GUIDES I have ever had in my life! THE BEST GUIDES I have ever had in my life! David W. and Kathy P. made our trip the trip of a lifetime, so much so that I was emotional leaving them! They become true family friends. We ziplined over the Gallatin River, hiked all over Yellowstone NP, rafted in Yellowstone River, horseback rode in the Absaroka Mountains and much, MUCH, more. I won't add any spoilers or it will take away from the overall experience! It was incredible and we didn't even mind changing hotels throughout the trip so that we could experience as much as possible. If you are able to do this trip with either David or Kathy, you will have such a meaningful experience. If you get both, you are truly blessed!

The perfect combination of cycling, hiking and water based activities concentrated in a specific region of Alaska! The meals were soooo good and we were so well taken care of. Our guides, Jessi and Olivia, were awesome - they were well prepared and flexible/adaptable to the group's needs. Overall, a great active trip in such a beautiful location.

Our Yellowstone family adventure was amazing! The trip was extremely well planned and the execution was flawless. Our guides, Dave and Kathy, were friendly, knowledgeable, funny and had great rapport with one another and our whole crew. It made our whole trip perfect! The accommodations were great and the activities were perfectly paced to meet the needs of our whole group. Kathy’s Kitchen and Dave’s Diner went above and beyond to meet the needs of our son with a food allergy. We can’t thank them enough. Best trip ever!
