Our family of four wanted to commemorate a handful of significant life events (graduation, retirement, etc) and thought this itinerary aligned well with our values and interests. It was the trip of a lifetime! We had never gone on a group vacation with strangers before and were nervous about how the dynamic would be, but from the beginning our cohort seemed to gel and get along. Our guides, Gregory and Ivan, facilitated this environment. They kept the group safe, and were knowledgable about the local culture, history, and environment.
The hiking was unbelievable: the Dolomites are a must-see, not only for their natural beauty but also the cultural heritage they contain. Whoever planned this itinerary did a phenomenal job of selecting our routes and accommodations. It was definitely the most plush adventure we'd ever been on, complete with mid-morning espresso, four course dinners at refugios, and daily sauna sessions. I would do this trip again in a heartbeat!

The Dolomites are a unique, spectacular landscape to hike and explore. Active and our guides, Greg and Ivan, crafted a challenging and memorable journey through the gorgeous mountains and meadows of the region.

This was my first time doing an alpine adventure that involved snow. I couldn’t have asked for a better introduction into mountaineering! I left the planning worry behind and just enjoyed the adventure that awaited!

Father/Son trip- highly recommend. My 19 year old son and I did the Tour du Mont Blanc via Active with Jean Marc and Hollly(both outstanding!) and we can’t say enough about the trip. Everything from meals, hotels, transportation and guide services were top notch.

I would highly recommend this trip for those able to do so physically and financially. It was a very challenging physical trip but my wife and self pushed ourselves to complete it. The tour is not cheap but having the burden removed from worrying about individual logistics, lodging, meals, problem resolution made the expenditure well worth it.

The Dolomites just make your senses soar: think irish-green meadows stippled by endless wildflowers, snowcapped peaks and skies that shift from morning bluebird to metal grey bluster by late afternoon. Guides Greg and Ivan were a dream team: they managed logistics, ably handled mishaps from an unsoled boot to an unhinged puppy/bike encounter, and shared their enthusiasm and knowledge of the gorgeous Ladin land, people and history. Top it all with crazy good food and espresso wherever we landed. My only regret is that the trip ended.
